In Ybor City, the cigar capital of Tampa, this is a stand out restaurant and it's amazing. The atmosphere lovely, the staff friendly and sweet, the food off the charts good. I mean I've had Greek food many times but this is outstanding! From the Greek salad to the falafel there is not a thing that disappoints. The spanakopita is a stand out. Honestly, up there with the best Greek restaurant around. So pleasant. So tasty. So good. Outstanding!! I wish I could come back over and over. Grab a cigar and run and I mean run to get some of their feta cheese . So good.

A nice spot to grab some Greek/Mediterranean food. We were greeted at the door by an exuberant host. We ordered some dips and a gyro to split. The dips were great, the gyro was very thinly sliced, good but I prefer a hearty crusted and browned gyro. Our waitress wasn't very attentive and barely spoke to us throughout our meal; odd. The decor was fresh and breezy with a beautiful painted and lit ceiling. Overall a nice place.

This place is amazing! Top notch Greek food in the heart of Ybor City! From the moment we walked into Acropolis Greek Taverna, the ambiance whisked us away to the Mediterranean. We started with an array of appetizers, each more tantalizing than the last. The Saganaki was a fiery delight, and the Spinach Dip was a creamy dream. But it was the Shrimp Tinos that stole the show - a dish so divine, it could make the gods envious. For the main course, the Gyro Platter was a masterclass in flavor, with gyro meat so well-seasoned it danced on the palate, paired with a Tzatziki Sauce that was nothing short of legendary. The Acropolis Seafood entrée was a symphony of the sea, bathed in a luscious red pepper cream sauce that complemented the shrimp and scallops perfectly. The only misstep was the mussels, which remained closed, but this was a minor hiccup in an otherwise flawless meal. While the sangria didn't hit the mark for my personal taste, it's clear it's crafted to appeal to a variety of palates. This minor detail won't deter us; the overall experience was amazing, and we're already planning our next visit. Acropolis Greek Taverna, you've earned a resounding five stars and a promise - we will be back!
